Como professor, ministrou os cursos "História da fotografia no Brasil" e "Geografia visual da América Latina: um panorama histórico da fotografia na região", em diferentes instituições de ensino. Graduated in architecture and urbanism, Alexandre has been practicing photography for over eight years. He divides himself between theoretical studies on photography, in particular regarding Latin American production, and his authorial works. In order to delve deeper into both aspects, he has been traveling through Latin America since June 2022, which has allowed him to better understand local cultures and the photographic production of each country and develop his own visual essays about each location.
As a photographer, he worked at Bob Wolfenson's photography studio and develops personal photographic works that focus on city and territory. He participated in the collective exhibition "Contretemps" at Fouart Gallery, Paris, and had his work, "Lusco-Fusco", selected to be published in the 10th edition of Tangerine magazine. He also worked with the theater group Ágora Virtual, being responsible for filming the plays during the pandemic period.
As a professor, he taught the courses "History of photography in Brazil" and "Visual geography of Latin America: a historical panorama of photography in the region", in different educational institutions. In addition, he taught the open class "The History of Latin American Photography", at the Câmara Viajante school, and the course "Dialogues between architecture and photography", at the Faculty Escola da Cidade.
